Weekend Trips for the 2020 Season

Several weekend trips are taken throughout the winter. We take our bus east to Quebec or north eastern US ski resorts for two or three days of riding. And new for 2020, we have listened and adjusted our schedules to try out adding a few Monday ski days so we can see about avoiding the crowds!

How to sign up:

  1. 2020 Weekend Trip Application
  2. Complete the form and determine your payment method.
  3. Get the form to us. 3 options:
    1. In person: Bring the form to a club meeting on the trip opening night or any meeting thereafter.
    2. Email the application to weekends@voyageurs.ca – be sure to indicate how you will be paying (mailing a cheque or indicating Paypal)
    3. Snail mail– pop your completed form in the mail along with your cheque.
  4. Block your calendar and be on time for bus!!

REMINDER: You must already be a member to sign up for trips. Membership sales kick off on September 19. Trip sign up is first come, first served and priority is given to those who submit their application in person on trip opening night. All applications must have membership number clearly indicated on them or they will not be accepted. Acceptance does not guarantee a spot on the trip. Successful applicants will receive confirmation of their inclusion on the trip within 10 business days.  See Join US page for the membership application.

PayPal users: If you would like to pay by PayPal please indicate in your application and a PayPal invoice will be issued to you.

Pricing: Save some money and sign up on either October 17 or November 21! ALL weekend trips open on October 17th.

  • Sign Up On Time! Price: Paid in full or $100 deposit with a postdated cheque or paypal by the November 21st meeting .
  • Late Sign-up Price: November 22 to trip closing night – $100 deposit due on sign up and final payment due on closing night.

Bus departure times and location: Please arrive at least 15 min early!!

All buses leave from 150 Bridgeland Avenue parking lot. Parking cost $6 (subject to change).

  • Each weekend trip has a unique departure time, please refer to trip description and/or email from trip captain for exact timing!

Owl’s Head, Mansonville, Quebec


Friday January 17 – Sunday, January 19, 2020

Our first outing in  January 2020 is club favourite, Owl’s Head. Everything old is new again and so is our favourite Quebec spot of Owl’s Head. We will stay at the completely renovated chalet, now called the Hotel Mtn Haus, which offers updated amenities, the warm atmosphere of its historic character and direct access to the hill. New equipment provides artificial snow to 90% of the area but the downhill views of lake Memphremagog remain unparalleled.

Package includes:

  • Round trip highway coach transportation (depart Toronto at 3:00 pm from the 150 Bridgeland parking lot).
  • Dinner on the bus Friday.
  • 2 nights at the Hotel Mountain Haus.
  • 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner Saturday night. Members are responsible for their own beverages on Saturday night.
  • 2 days skiing or snowboarding.
  • All taxes and gratuities.

This will not be just a ski outing but a true vacation! We’ll be staying at the four-star Estrimont Suites & Spa, 5 minutes from the hill. It offers Scandinavian baths, hot tubs, swimming pool, dry sauna, Nordic shower, exercise room, a range of treatments and a large relaxing yurt with fireplace, where you can enjoy an herbal tea while relaxing.

From the top of Mont Orford, elevation 2,790 feet, in the heart of the National Park, we may get a breathtaking glance at the gorgeous landscapes of Lake Memphrèmagog all the way to the Appalachian Mountains – if it is not snowing! There are runs for all levels, with 1,932 vertical and 25% picturesque glade runs. With a newly expanded chalet and new snow system just installed, our skiing enjoyment is guaranteed over an area of 250 skiable acres, across four hillsides of Mont Orford, Giroux Nord and Alfred-Desrochers.

Trip attendees are responsible for their spa treatments (when in Rome!) and dinners on Saturday and Sunday night. The hotel has excellent restaurants or hop in a cab and experience the town of Magog!

Stowe, Vermont

For a winter to remember, we’ll have a 3 day/ 3 night great finish at Vermont’s most spectacular New England ski getaway, Stowe Mountain, at 3,725” skiing elevation, vertical drop 2,360”, 485 skiable acres, surrounded by majestic Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak.

We’ll stay at Commodores Inn, in the lovely village of Stowe. The inn offers spacious rooms, pool, common room with fireplace, on-site dining and free Wi-Fi.

Our package includes:

  • Round trip highway coach transportation (depart Toronto at 2pm from the 150 Bridgeland parking lot).
  • Dinner on the bus Friday.
  • 3 lift tickets for Stowe.
  • 3 nights at the Commodores Inn.
  • 3 breakfasts.
  • 2 dinners: soup or salad, dinner, dessert, coffee.
  • All taxes and gratuities.
  • Note: You must possess a valid and current passport and visa (if you require) for this trip as we will be entering the United States. Anyone on the trip that does not have the correct ID will be left at the border and responsible for getting themselves back to Toronto (so sorry, but true).
