Weekend Trips for the 2019 Season

Several weekend trips are taken throughout the winter. We take our bus east to Quebec or north eastern US ski resorts for two or three days of riding.

How to sign up:

  1. 2019 Weekend Trip Application.
  2. Complete the form and determine your payment method.
  3. Get the form to us. 3 options:
    1. In person: Bring the form to a club meeting on the trip opening night or any meeting thereafter.
    2. Email the application to weekends@voyageurs.ca – be sure to indicate how you will be paying (mailing a cheque or indicating Paypal)
    3. Snail mail– pop your completed form in the mail along with your cheque.
  4. Block your calendar and be on time for bus!!

REMINDER: You must already be a member to sign up for trips. Membership sales kick off on September 27. Trip sign up is first come, first served and priority is given to those who submit their application in person on trip opening night. All applications must have membership number clearly indicated on them or they will not be accepted. Acceptance does not guarantee a spot on the trip. Successful applicants will receive confirmation of their inclusion on the trip within 10 business days.  See Join US page for the membership application.

PayPal users: If you would like to pay by PayPal please indicate in your application and a PayPal invoice will be issued to you.

Pricing: Save some money and sign up on either September 27 or October 25! ALL weekend trips open on September 27.

  • Sign Up On Time! Price: Paid in full or $100 deposit with a postdated cheque or paypal by the October 25th meeting .
  • Late Sign-up Price: October 26 to trip closing night – $100 deposit due on sign up and final payment due on closing night.

Bus departure times and location: Please arrive at least 15 min early!!

All buses leave from 150 Bridgeland Avenue parking lot. Parking cost $4.

  • All weekend trips leave Bridgeland at 3pm.

Mont Sutton, Sutton, Quebec

We will kick off the 2019 Voyageurs ski season in January at Sutton, a club favourite. Mont Sutton is known for its glade skiing and old ski resort charm. Outfitted with a mix of newer and old school lifts, Sutton has something for everyone. The Haven Inn is country chic at its best. This quaint turn of the century property has changed hands over the last few years and has undergone an update since we were here last. Featuring new mattresses and a outdoor hot tub. Join us for what is sure to be good time.

Note: We have booked all of the rooms at Sutton’s Haven Inn, so a limited number of skiers will make this trip.

Package includes:

  • Round trip highway coach transportation (depart Toronto at 3:00 pm from the 150 Bridgeland parking lot).
  • Dinner on the bus Friday.
  • 2 nights at the Auberge Le Havre Sutton / Sutton’s Haven Inn.
  • 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner Saturday night. Members are responsible for their own beverages on Saturday night.
  • 2 days skiing or snowboarding.
  • All taxes and gratuities.

Bromont, Quebec

Bromont is billed as a “A mountain for everyone”. Featuring 110 runs, 32 gladed runs. It is a fun hill and the Voyageurs have not visited for some time. We return in 2019!

We are staying at the Bromont Auberge for a cheap and cheerful ski trip. The Auberge has wi-fi and each room has a mini-fridge and coffee maker and we will have a continental breakfast each morning. We have access to the Bromont Hotel’s outdoor pool and whirlpool (hotel is a sister property).

Members will be responsible for their dinner on Saturday night. Bromont is a popular weekend getaway for Montrealers so there is variety of dining options for members to visit.

Package includes:

  • Round trip highway coach transportation (depart Toronto at 3:00 pm from the 150 Bridgeland parking lot).
  • Dinner on the bus Friday.
  • 2 nights at the Auberge Bromont.
  • 2 continental breakfasts.
  • 2 days skiing or snowboarding.

Jay Peak, Vermont

Jay Peak is a four-season resort in Northern Vermont, close to the Canadian border, and far from anything resembling ordinary. Jay Peak receives the highest snowfall annually of all Vermont resorts. Jay Peak is known for great snow conditions, especially in spring, and for the variety of activities at the resort. Had enough skiing and feel like sliding down waterslides? You can at Jay as they have an indoor water park that you can visit for small fee!

We will be staying at the resort’s new Golf & Mountain Cottages in 2-bedroom units. Complete with tv, internet access and full kitchen. Each room has a split king size bed (meaning it can be 2 twins). Condo units mean that you can making your own meals. Perfect for planning a potluck with your roommates or opting to enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants.

Getting around the resort is easy with the unlimited mountain shuttle. And if you’ve visited any of the eastern resorts, the drivers of these shuttles are often very entertaining!!

  • 2 nights at Jay Resort Golf & Mountain Cottages.
  • 2 days skiing or snowboarding.

  • Note: You must possess a valid and current passport and visa (if you require) for this trip as we will be entering the United States. Anyone on the trip that does not have the correct ID will be left at the border and responsible for getting themselves back to Toronto (so sorry, but true).
